Do you need help to plan ICT in the Early Years?

Would you like ideas for resources?

digital camera photo hand

This web site was started as a result of requests from Early Years practitioners for more help with planning for ICT.

It provides you with the tools you will need to audit your ICT and has supporting documents and examples to help you plan for and develop ICT in your setting.

The principles for learning for the Early Years Foundation Stage are at the heart of our practice. The audit for ICT is therefore based on these principles for learning. You can audit your ICT by following each commitment to the principle, or you can go directly to the supporting documents that are listed above the commitments.

To support practitioners in developing ICT in the Foundation Stage there is also a resources section that includes recommendations for software and hardware, planned ICT experiences and examples of uses of ICT. This section is resource based; each ICT resource leads to a wealth of ideas and information.

If you have discovered great resources or have planned experiences for young children that you would like to share then click on the ' Contribute' button and upload your work. It will go to the site administrator who will then add your work to the site.

Do contact us, just click on the ‘Contact’ button, for any ideas, information or advice, we are happy to help if we can!
